I think the main issue for the Pi 400 is that it is ARMv8, but Horizon Client is only offered in ARMHF via the Linux 64 bit bundle on VMware’s website. This seems to be the last problem of my prototype RPi before we can allow our other employees to work with it. You really need to offer a FREE Client for Raspberry Pi OS ARMHF & ARM64 It seems ludicrous that one has to buy a paid for Operating System just to have this functionality. ![]() Log with view.sslVerificationMode=1 running into "Error: Couldn't resolve host name":Īnd with view.sslVerificationMode=1 without the "Error: Couldn't resolve host name": Log with view.sslVerificationMode=3 running into "Untrusted Connection": However it doesn't appear again after restarting vmware view client. (view client is in autostart and directs to the "Server Login"-Window) I found out that this error occurs 90% of the time when i boot the RPi. Hoping to develop a slim OS with auto-starting VMWare view client to make inexpensive thin clients for students who cant afford a home computer. ![]() Strange behaviour that might be linked to the problem above:Įvery few connection attempts my horizon client comes up with the message "Error: Couldn't resolve host name". Everything is setup as wanted and it´s possible to connect as long as the view.sslVerificationMode is not set to '1'. Now we also want to use Raspberry Pi's as thin clients. Our Systems are running and there is no problem connecting to the virtual machines using windows or Igel clients.
